 Is Bali Open for Tourism? - Bali Island is the most visited destination by foreign tourists. Unfortunately, Bali will not open for foreign tourists again this year, due to Corona Virus concerns.

Is Bali open for tourism?

On September 11th, 2020, I Wayan Koster as the Governor of Bali announced that Bali would officialy open for foreign tourism, but that was overrule by the Indonesian Goverement and delayed till early 2021.

The Reason Why Bali is Closed for Foreign Tourists

The Regulation that published by the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Indonesia Number 11 of 2020 concerning the Temporary Prohibition of Foreigners from Entering the Territory of the Indonesia is still in effect.

The Indonesian government has also not been able to open the gate for foreign tourists to Indonesia until the end of 2020, because Indonesia is still in the red zone category. Indonesia is not safe yet from COVID-19 epidemic.

Even tough the cure rate has increased and the number of cases of corona virus in Indonesia has decreased. Indonesia continues to take measures to limit the entry of foreigners into Indonesia to reduce the spread of the corona virus.

When Bali is Opened for Foreign Tourism?

As the Regulation has been announced, It is possible that Indonesia will be opened for tourism at the end of 2020 or early 2021. At that time many foreign tourists want to spend their year-end holidays.

However, it is not certain when Bali will open for tourism. We'll let you know when Bali is ready to visit.

Hopefully this pandemic will end soon and Bali is reopening for tourism so we can enjoy the beauty of tourism, especially on the island of Bali.
